Handbag Review: Celine Nano Luggage

Celine introduces the Luggage line designed by Phoebe Philo in 2009. She has designed a beautiful timeless bag with the classic and minimalist design characteristics of the Celine brand. As soon as I discover the collection I was in love with all of them. I got very extremist with this brand. First I bought the Celine big Phantom and then I move straight to the small Nano. No intermediates points :P My Celine Nano is in black drummed leather with silver hardware. I tried to describe all of this bag but if you have any question, please let me know in the comments below.

Measurements and characteristics

Celine offers the Luggage collection in 3 different sizes: the Mini (12″H x 12″W x 7″D), the Micro (10″H x 10″W x 6″D) and the Nano (8″H x 8″W x 4″D) which is the one that I'm reviewing. The special characteristic of the nano bag is that it has a long strap which allows you to wear it as a cross-body bag whereas the other luggage only can be used as a handbag. It also has a very small zip compartment on the front only to hold some business cards and a small pocket inside that can because to hold small stuff but not a cellphone, at least not my iPhone 7 plus. You can't pass by the iconic butterfly on its back which some girls use it to hold their sunglasses.

Type of Leathers and Materials

The Celine nano comes mainly in natural calfskin leather, baby grained calfskin and drummed calfskin, which is the one that I have. It is also available in textile and combination with leather. The natural calfskin leather is the most luxury and glamorous. I think it goes perfectly with gold hardware. If you are looking something more carefree I recommend you to go for the drummed leather which will support any wild night out :P As a new mom, I choose this bag as my daily bag. I carry with me the baby bag plus my Celine nano with my essentials.

What fits in?

You can fit in the nano bag more than what you need. Instead of a big wallet, I choose to use my Chanel card holder which is very practical and fit all my cards. I can carry on my sunglasses, my iPhone 7 plus, my LV key holder and a small pouch which I use to hold my on the go makeup and save my beautiful suede bag interior from it.

Yey! I have a really good news! Celine is now available online! So, so happy. I bought mine in Switzerland as, before the Celine online store where available, the only option to buy a Celine bag was to purchase it at it official store. Btw, the price in Switzerland is more as in Dublin but you can do tax refund when you fly back and the price after tax will be very similar.

My Final Conclusion

The Celine nano is a must have! It is a very versatile bag. You can easily dress it up or dress it down. You can carry it on your hand or on your shoulder. You can also wear it as a cross body bag. What more you want? Totally recommended. Price? A little expensive 1900€ but totally worth it.
